Blueberries are an
excellent source of
vitamin C.

In fact, a serving contains about
14 mg or almost 25% of daily
requirement for
Vitamin C.
Vitamin C is needed for the
formation of collagen and to
maintain healthy gums and
capillaries. It also aids in the
absorption of iron and
promotes
a healthy immune system.

Blueberry Benefits
High in Antioxidants
With just 80 delicious calories per cup
and virtually no fat,
blueberries offer us
many important nutrition and health
benefits.
Blueberry Acres was conceived in 2007 by Jarry and Sue
Barton to provide an income for our retirement years.  It
made sense to us to grow highbush
blueberries for many
reasons.

First and foremost is the overwhelming nutritional value
and popularity of
blueberries.

Then, of course, the growing interest in buying local and
getting the freshest food possible.

And, finally, we are right in the middle of wild
blueberry
country so it was obvious to us the environment and soil
must be good for growing
blueberries.

Blueberries
are unique in the food industry in that they
will live and produce fruit for up to 50 years.

We specialize in very large high bush
blueberries.
These
blueberries are varieties that are large,
sweet and easy to pick!  Our highbush
blueberries are
grown in rows that are cultivated to produce sweet and
plump berries. When the berry is a deep blue color, they
are ready to be carefully hand picked.

We aren't just
blueberries though...
